Tactical Flashlight & Tactical Pen Self-Defense

Cost $60.00

Class length: 3 hours.

Class Description:

From the college student who must walk through a campus parking lot at night to the property owner who comes home from work late to a darkened house, the tactical flashlight is an indispensable tool to have on hand. This training class will help you learn how to maximize the usefulness of this extraordinary device using a remarkably simple, yet effective self-defense system. As a bonus, many of the skills you’ll learn can be applied to the tactical pen as well.

The tactical flashlight is ideal for serious, responsible, full spectrum personal protection. It can be used for:

  • Illumination to visually clear suspicious areas (like the inside of a car) or identify persons hiding in the shadows.
  • Use of its powerful beam to render an attacker temporarily “night blind”
  • As an effective defensive impact tool for lawful personal protection.

Topics covered include:

  • Use of the tactical flashlight & pen within the threat management field.
  •  Flashlight & pen selection.
  • Grip & deployment.
  • Blocking & striking techniques.
  • Generating stopping power.
  • Evasion & escape movement.

Because this is a principle based training system, many of the techniques may also be used successfully with a Kubotan / Persuader, Koga SD-1 & SD-2, as well as empty-handed.

The tactical flashlight is indispensable within threat management, law enforcement and fire/ rescue circles when a small, powerful and reliable illumination tool is needed. This class will teach you how to use both the “tac-light” & “tac-pen” as unique multi-use tools within the use of force continuum for lawful personal protection.

Four common Defensive Impact Tools (from left to right): Persuader, tactical flashlight, tactical pen & Koga SD-2.
